Chiltern Park home from home during Olympics

Hot on the heels of the news that Old Buckenham is offering an alternative operating base for pilots and aircraft owners during the period of the Olympic Restricted Airspace Zone next summer, Chiltern Park Aerodrome (CPA), NW of Reading, has announced a similar offer.

CPA has full hangarage, clubroom and training facilities, resident Microlight and Gyrocopter flying schools and is also home of the London Parachute School. Tie down rate will be £195 per month and will include membership and flying fees.

The airfield, just 35 minutes from West London and in unrestricted airspace, is offering parking and limited hangarage to private individuals and flying schools with use of club facilities. Central London is just 50 minutes by car, with the M40/M4 just a few miles from the airfield.

The nearest train station, Goring & Streatly has links to Reading-London Paddington and Didcot Parkway-Oxford-Birmingham and is only three miles from the airfield.
