Despite information originally given on the RSA website to the contrary, Customs facilities will not be available at Blois for direct flights into and out of the RSA Rally this weekend. Because the UK is not a signatory of the Schengen Treaty it is necessary to land at or depart from a Customs Airfield when flying to/from France and a few suggested alternatives are Le Touquet, Abbeville, Caen, Cherbourg and Le Mans. Please note that many of the remaining Customs airfields require prior notification by email or Fax.

Pilots heading for Blois should also check NOTAM carefully as the French Air Force is scheduled to make a number of practice flights in preparation for Bastille Day fly-pasts and some normally open airspace will be temporarily prohibited.
