Van’s Aicraft has announced that it is working with Van’s build assist company  Synergy Air of Eugene, Oregon to introduce a ready to fly RV12 LSA.

The company announced at AOPA Aviation Summit that there will be an initial production run of 12 aircraft fitted with all available options which will be offered as “Signature Edition” for an introductory price of $115,000. Powered by a 100-hp Rotax 912 ULS, the RV-12 is equipped standard with a Dynon Skyview instrument system, Garmin SL-40 com, Flightcom stereo intercom, 406 MHz emergency locator transmitter, Flightline interior, and LED lighting. The included options are wheel pants, automatic dependent surveillance-broadcast (ADS-B), a two-axis autopilot, premium paint finishes, and Oregon Aero seats and interior. Initial deliveries are planned for early 2013 and a standard model at $105,000 is expected to follow.

Nearly 200 kit-built RV-12s have been completed and flown as experimental light sport aircraft or experimental amateur-built aircraft; we currently have four flying in the UK with a further 14 in build. http://synergyair.com and www.vansaircraft.com
