Vice Chairman and Director
I have been a LAA member since 1996, and in that time have gained my PPL, built an aircraft largely from plans, and flown it for more than 600 hours , including taking it as far as Africa. I am a keen modifier and try to keep the LAA Engineering Department busy with go-faster modification applications for my Zenair 601.
For my day job, I teach operations management at Nottingham University, and also do research work with leading aerospace companies.
I have been LAA Vice Chair for the last few years and have been heavily involved in the association’s name change and the company re-structuring. I also set up the LAA Educational Trust, and act as its Chair of Trustees. I am increasingly involved in the ever-expanding consultation and lobbying work. This leaves too little time for actually going flying!
