A leading recreational Aviation Association


Vision

The National Association in promoting safe and economical operation of LAA aircraft, with minimum regulation, through excellence in:

  • the promotion of amateur construction
  • aviation engineering support of all LAA administered aircraft
  • Protecting and enhancing flying rights and ownership
  • Supporting the preservation and operation of vintage aircraft
  • Pursuit and discharge of regularoty duties
  • Encouragement and training of recreational pilot skills
  • Promotion of opportunities to experience aviation

Goals
  • Continuously improve our safety record in airworthiness and maintenance of LAA aircraft and in the operation of the Association.
  • Leadership in the achievement of low cost flying through co-operation and partnership with like-minded bodies and appropriate representation at all levels
  • Growth of membership and flying activities served by the Association
  • A training and review programme offered as a service to members designed to facilitate safe flying
  • Predominantly lead by Struts, an active programme of aviation events, including Vintage and Classic and young peoples' aviation experience
  • Increasing numbers of relevant new type recreational aircraft available
