Over the last ten years the representation of recreational flying at UK and European level has become a very important part of what LAA does.

It’s not the sexy bit and it’s not, for most of us, the interesting bit but without representation at CAA, DfT, EASA and on any number of committees covering safet, airspace and new regulation, recreational aviation would slowly be stifled out of existence.

Along with other associations, LAA spends and inordinate amount of time and money ensuring the voice of the Private Pilot is heard and we have an environment in which we can not only continue to operate with a high degree of freedom, but one in which the growth and well-being of our sport is encouraged.
