regulation, regulation, regulation...
Welcome to the section of the LAA website dealing with regulation matters generally and in particular with consultations by the CAA and other government departments. Links to the Issues List can be found below.
The most important matters just now are the Mode S consultation and north London airspace change proposal. If we are to influence these consultations you must respond individually. We have prepared material to help with this so please join in.

We have developed a close working relationship with the CAA, and the DfT with the aim of being seen as a responsible partner who can contribute positively to policy development. We work with like organisations through our membership of the General Aviation Alliance (GA A) and internationally through Europe Airsports. We have developed relationships with EASA and national organisations in other countries around the world.
Europe and the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) in particular, are currently reviewing the entire regulatory process for light aviation, offering us an opportunity to shape our own future. The LAA is at the forefront of this review, and the expectation is high that it will result in regulation tailored to the realities and needs of European recreational aviation, rather than the hotchpotch of inappropriate ‘watered down’ commercial regulations currently in place.
