The CAA, other government departments and regional and local authorities and European bodies often undertake consultations about legislation and planning issues and there are times when we need individual responses to have any effect. This is particularly so in planning matters.
Finding out about these consultations can be difficult and web links are often obscure. Links to active areas of consultation and regulation where we have set out the issues involved, suggested areas where your input would be useful and provided further links to source documents and reply addresses so you can understand the issues and express your view are available.
You can access the CAA list of consultations but that is not always comprehensive. We will try to publish details of all consultations on this website and the GA Alliance also has a comprehensive list.
However, we sometimes only find out about consultations by chance and then quite late. If you wish, you can be notified automatically when something like this comes up by joining the LAA Campaigning Aviators Network (LAA CAN). You will then receive a single email to alert you when your urgent support is needed on some consultation matter.
