Deadline to EASA 20 October but the DfT would like our views asap so they can respond
The Basic Regulation, EC 1592/2002, is the European Parliament regulation which established EASA and gives it its current range of powers. EASA has drafted a change to EC1592 which would give them regulatory control over aerodromes, air traffic services and air navigation services. The EC is asking for comments and so is the DfT. As this is a very technical issue you may not want to respond individually so the LAA will do it on your behalf.
However, you can review the DfT summary which links to the EC consultation document.
You can see the LAA response here.
