Poor weather meant that nine Austers arrived for the Annual General Meeting and fly-in at Leicester this past weekend, although considering just how bad the weather was this is a very good turn out, and would have been even better if the weather  had allowed. Notable attendees were Auster J1 G-AGTO, the first production civilian Auster, which had flown from Duxford, and the superb Auster V OY-EFI in accurate Second World War camouflage, which arrived at Leicester after an epic eight and a half hour flight from Denmark by it's crew Villi and Lisbeth Seeman.

Although a few Austers arrived in time for the AGM on Saturday and departed shortly after, even worse weather on the Sunday meant no arrivals, with the Austers which had arrived on the Friday leaving as soon as the weather, not just at Leicester but also at their target destination and the route they would be taking, allowed. Despite the weather, a good weekend was had by all, helped by the high spirits of the International Auster Club and the fantastic staff, food and drink at the Leicestershire Aero Club.
