Airspace Change Proposals

The Future Airspace Strategy VFR Implementation Group (FASVIG) now has its own dedicated website which can be reached at http://www.fasvig.org/

Information on Airspace Change Proposals in which FASVIG has an interest  can be found at http://www.fasvig.org/acp

The vision of the Future Airspace Strategy is to provide safe, efficient airspace, that has the capacity to meet reasonable demand, balances the needs of all users and mitigate the impact of aviation on the environment.  FAS VFR Implementation Group (FASVIG) was established to develop that vision beyond the commercial air transport sector to deliver a sustainable future for VFR operations in the UKFIR.  FASVIG has developed packages of change to improve efficiency and safety for non-commercial operations and part of that work will involve proposing changes to airspace.  FASVIG is a collaboration of aviation bodies and because it is not itself an entity it is not practicable for it to manage Airspace Change Proposals (ACPs) itself.  Instead, member organisations will act as sponsors where required.

Acting on behalf of FASVIG the General Aviation Alliance (GAA) is launching a consultation on 2 changes to airspace in the South of England as lead activities.  One follows the CAP725 Airspace Change process and the other the CAA policy on the Release of Controlled and Segregated Airspace (RCSA).

Consultees and other interested parties can download the consultation documents by following the links below.  The closing date for both consultations is 20 June 2015.

Further ACPs will be made available here as they become available.
