Flying In

The slot booking system (run by Sywell Aerodrome) will open on Wednesday 4th August. If you are flying-in to the rally you need to book and pay for your slot at the time of booking. Please ensure you download and read the relevant AIC, aide memoire and accompanying briefing notes. Slot booking and full information can be found on the Sywell aerodrome website.



Sywell is subject to Restricted Airspace (Temporary) throughout the three Rally day period - Friday, Saturday, Sunday 3rd, 4th and 5th.

Getting There

Sywell Aerodrome, Sywell, Northamptonshire, NN6 0BN

Sywell Aerodrome is located on the edge of Sywell village in Northamptonshire, 4 miles from the centre of Wellingborough and 10 miles from the centre of Northampton. Sywell is no more than an hour away from Coventry, Milton Keynes, Bedford and Cambridge.

Trophies & Awards

We are currently reviewing the list of Trophies & Awards that will be made this year and will publish details of the Award categories, judging guidelines and Entry Form in due course.

Camping & Accommodation

Once again, this year's LAA Sywell Rally will have a dedicated campsite with hot showers and regularly serviced toilets, which will be sited in the field across the road from the aerodrome.

The LAA Rally is the pre-eminent fly-in event in Europe, providing an opportunity to see all that is current in sport and recreational flying.
