The Young Aviators event was a real
success. We enabled 29 young people
(15 of them scouts) the experience of a
flight in a light aircraft.
We had a good
selection of aircraft:
Piper Cub, Jodel,
Europa, Piper Warrior,
and Robinson R44.
My main challenge was to manage the fuel load during the day on the Warrior, and then fly it with four people at measured all up weight on a hot no wind day to enable Sam, a special needs scout, probably a once in a lifetime opportunity to experience flight in a light aircraft. The attached picture says it all.
No doubt other pilots will also have had similar rewarding experiences. Big thank you to everyone.
