This year is planned as a major fly-in and is focused as a dress rehearsal for the full LAA event in 2010. The ethos is ‘Back to Basics’.
This year's event will be on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th September. Aircraft are welcome to fly-in on the Friday 4th before and stay.
The experienced Sywell team invite all light aircraft to this prestigious event. The LAA will be on hand, providing support and running the LAA centre with exhibitors, LAA shop, displays, etc
Aviators and enthusiasts will be able to enjoy the hospitality, the exhibitor's area and view the huge number of Permit and Certified aircraft we anticipate joining us. There will be food, a beer hangar, exhibitors and hundreds (possibly thousands) of aircraft. Camping allowed, or book into the on-site 54 room hotel.
Pilots are welcome to camp alongside their aircraft, but a major campsite is not planned for this year.
There will be a breakfast buffet in the Aviator restaurant and there will be a Saturday evening BBQ event. Gates will be locked at midnight for those camping alongside their aircraft.
There will be hard and grass runways 03/21 available, although unlicensed for this event.
Entry will be £5 per person, landing fee £10 per aircraft, including entry for all occupants. Kids under 16 free.
There will be an online landing slot system so you can book your landing and see when your friends are planning to arrive.
So come along to this major late summer event. Camp under your aircraft, enjoy the beer in Hangar One, meet friends old and new and savour the atmosphere. The LAA team will be on-hand to support the event from the LAA Centre marquee and will be awarding prizes in several categories for Permit aircraft.
We look forward to meeting you there.
